While many sees the g*y wedding as taboo in a black nation such as Nigeria, gay weddings are highly legalized and celebrated in foreign countries like the United States of America.
However, in trending photos and videos making the waves online, Nigerian gayrights activist Micheal Ighodaro weds his American politician partner.

Micheal Ighodaro, on Monday night October 9 in New York city tied the knot with his Armenian-American partner, Jirair Ratevosian.
Guests at their wedding included Nigerian gay rights activists, Edafe Okporo, Jide Macaulay amongst others.
Jirair is a Democratic candidate in the 2024 California’s 30th congressional district election.
