Manchester City vs Sevilla live online: line ups, score, stats and updates, UEFA Super Cup

What is Sevilla’s record in the Europa League? How many times have they won it?

Manchester City enjoyed a famous season in 2022/23 but Seville, too, had a year to remember. City’s treble winners made history and Sevilla wrote their names in the record books with a seventh Europa League triumph. The European specialists go into the Super Cup as clear underdogs but you can never rule them out in a one-off tie.

City in the house

Pep Guardiola’s treble winners are in attendance for tonight’s Super Cup fixture and the Spanish manager has named a strong team for the occasion. Josko Gvardiola enters the starting XI to make his first start for the club, while Cole Palmer is favoured to Bernardo Silva on the right flank.

Players from both teams have arrived at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Greece for tonight’s UEFA Super Cup. Supporters and filing in and we’re waiting for the teams to head out onto the pitch for the warmups.

This is the first chance to win European silverware this season and could present a real opportunity for Manchester City and Seville to start their season on the front foot.

And here’s the Sevilla line up

No major surprises for Sevilla tonight, but a familiar face for Manchester City supporters. Former player Jesus Navas will feature from the start, likely up against Jack Grealish on the right of the Sevilla defence.

Manchester City starting XI announced

Here’s the lineup selected by Pep Guardiola for tonight’s game, and there are a couple of surprises. Young forward Cole Palmer, scoring of a stunning goal in the Community Shield, starts on the right wing and Josko Gvardiol makes his first start since signing from RB Leipzig.

Karaiskakis Stadium begins to fill up

For Manchester City supporters this in unknown territory but a nice reward after last season’s treble-winning heroics. For seven-time Europa League winners Sevilla this is business as usual, but can they cause an upset tonight?
