Inter Miami will be in action for the round-of-16 encounter of the Leagues Cup against FC Dallas. Messi & Co beat Orlando City 3-1 in the previous game to seal the place in the last 16.
Meanwhile, the hosts are coming off a 2-1 win over Mazatlan to secure the knockout date in Texas. FC Dallas lost their first group stage encounter against Charlotte on penalties but they bounced back in the next two games to reach the next round of the competition.
Dallas beat Mazatlan 2-1 in round-of-32, courtesy of Ansah’s winning strike in the 75th minute. The scoreline was 1-1 when Mazatlan’s Montano equalised in the 57th minute in the reply to Velasco’s 48th-minute penalty strike.

FC Dallas are currently out of the final series playoffs as they sit 8th in the MLS table of Western Conference. They have won only 8 games out of 23 and are just one point behind the playoffs. They would eye the place in the quarterfinals on Sunday night.
